Good day! I am Alexey Zakharov.

All my life is connected with Sea. I have went through the way from maritime cadet till the yacht owner. I have high maritime education and my navigation experience on board different ships and yachts is great. Several times I made a round the world trips.

Since 2006 I am yacht broker, maritime lawyer and authorized surveyor of several Class and Flag states. One of my main tasks is to render an individual service for yacht owners, solving difficult questions regarding yacht flag registrations, as well as protect client' interests with crew matters, yacht transport and insurance. New yacht construction is a complex process consisting of many tasks. I will be glad to provide you with all of the following services:

Under the foreign flag on foreign territory
Yacht or boat registration under the convenient for Buyer flag is the essential part of sale and purchase deal, as some Flag administrations like Jersey, for example, requires Bill of Sale on they own format, and such peculiarities to be taken into account in advance. Change of flag, restore the lost documents, arrange tonnage and measurement survey as per Flag requirements and other tasks I will handle!
Under the foreign Flag on home territory
Temporary import. The most simple and popular way to use foreign flagged boat in the territorial and inland waters of Russia is the Temporary import for 12 months. Besides that, there are some other options to register the yacht in Russian International Ship's register and Bare-boat charter register. Custom and police claims, temporary import overdue, absence of beneficiary on board during the trip under the temporary import condition, "grey" charter problems – is just a minor part of actual for yacht owners questions.
Under the Russian flag on home territory
Deletion of boat from GIMS registry and transfer to State ship registry with passing RMRS Identification and Classification. Transfer of boat registry for private body while the corporate body dissolution. Yacht purchase from foreign Seller with registration into Russian International Ship's Registry, yacht chartering from foreign Seller with registration into Russian Bare-boat charter registry and other registration questions I will help to solve.
Sale and purchase deals processing
Some clients do not like to work with brokers during sale and purchase deals, hoping to save up some money on commission. It's rather risky way, as you may "purchase" the boat belonging to somebody else or will get a problems after several years trying to sell your boat. Moreover, sometimes it's necessary to have a broker as Deposit holder and in any case your broker is protecting your interests. Deal documents preparation, payment schemes processing are important questions, which should not been neglected.

Crewing, contracts, salaries. Crewmember dismissal
There are 5-7 crewmembers on a 30-40 meters boat. Yacht owner and guests' comfort depends on crew environmental and professionalism of each crewmember. It's required to check every seafarer and know what to look for. And when the time will come to pay salary, more questions arise. During the season it may be a crew health problems, or crewmember may just leave the yacht without explanations, or conflict may be happen inside the crew or with yacht owner.
Charter claims
The main reason of charter claims is impossibility to continue the charter due to some circumstances. The money paid, food and drinks purchased, tomorrow the charterer birthday, but it's necessary to leave the yacht due to haul up for urgent repairs…sometimes it is happening.

It's required to settle financial disputes and deal with APA.

Technical issues. Yacht owner claims to shipyard, warranty questions.
On completion of any construction and refit project, there are some questions about volume and quality of works performed. To avoid long-term disputes it's necessary to solve it quick and in a constructive way. Call me, I will take care.
Insurance and insurance cases

International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at sea 1972 have been written by blood. Sea will never forgive mistakes and negligence and in the most cases, "human factor" is the reason of accidents. Third Party Liability insurance, hull and machinery cover and crew welfare will ensure ship owner's quite sleep. I will help you to settle claims with insurance company against the volume and way of damages reimbursement!
